President Aliyev Receives Credentials from El Salvador’s New Ambassador.

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of Enrique Jaime Calderón, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of El Salvador. The ceremony took place on December 3, as reported by APA. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the meeting, President Aliyev expressed his optimism that Ambassador Calderón would actively work towards strengthening bilateral relations. He emphasized the importance of establishing effective cooperation with Azerbaijani authorities and exploring opportunities for economic collaboration. Ambassador Calderón conveyed his satisfaction with El Salvador's involvement in COP29, congratulating President Aliyev on its successful organization. He remarked on the positive impression left on the El Salvadoran delegation by the event's organization, Azerbaijan's achievements, and the beauty of Baku. Furthermore, Ambassador Calderón noted the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and El Salvador this year. He stressed the need to enhance cooperation and explore investment opportunities in El Salvador, particularly in infrastructure, transportation, and energy sectors. He also commended Azerbaijan's accomplishments in the energy sector, expressing interest in learning from the country's expertise. President Aliyev highlighted the importance of increasing mutual awareness among the citizens and business communities of both nations to advance bilateral relations. The discussions also underscored the potential for collaboration between Azerbaijan and El Salvador in various sectors, including economy, trade, tourism, and education.
