President Berdimuhamedov is dissatisfied with agricultural work in the Dashoguz velayat

On May 30, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a weekly working meeting with regional leaders on regional development, agriculture and preparations for the grain harvest campaign, the state news agency TDH reported .

After the report of the khyakim of the Dashoguz velayat Nazarmyrat Nazarmyradov, Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the low pace of work in the region's agriculture and expressed dissatisfaction with the level of their organization.

However, he was given the same instructions as other regional leaders: prepare for the harvest of wheat, complete the plan for growing silkworm cocoons, take care of potato and cotton crops, and also hand over construction projects on time.

A few days before the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the Dashoguz velayat, where he severely reprimanded Guizgeldi Baijanov , chairman of the State Committee for Water Resources, for problems in the field of water supply. The region has been suffering from a shortage of water for irrigating fields for the third year already .

Separate instructions to the heads of regions concerned the holding at a high level of the International Children's Day (June 1), World Bicycle Day (June 3) and World Environment Day (June 5).

In addition, the hyakims were instructed to ensure the uninterrupted and high-performance operation of grain harvesters and grain transport vehicles. As “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” reported yesterday , in the Lebap velayat, combine operators were obliged to carry out repairs and ensure the performance of John Deere and Case machines at their own expense. The leadership of the Obahyzmat association promises to reimburse them for their expenses after the harvest in the form of salaries and bonuses, which depend on the amount of grain they harvest. The tenants, on the other hand, before the harvesters were allowed into their fields, were ordered to remove all the weeds, the stalks of which become the main cause of blunting and breakage of the harvester blades.

Deputy Prime Minister Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, reported on the preparations for the harvest of wheat, and also that the harvesting of cocoons continues in Akhal and Balkan velayats.

At the last meeting, the president was informed that the plan for cocoons was fulfilled in Lebap and Mary velayats.
