President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received recently appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan Hossein Ali Mustafa Gannam who received the copies of his credentials.
Having expressed sincere gratitude for the time, the diplomat conveyed cordial greetings from the President Mahmoud Abbas to the Head of the State as well as invitation to visit Palestine. Having highlighted that this is a great honour for him to represent his country in Turkmenistan, which gained high international authority by its peace-loving policy and creative initiatives, Hossein Ali Mostafa Gannam assured that he would take all efforts for successful continuation of traditionally friendly interstate dialog.
Having congratulated the diplomat on appointment to this responsible position, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated with delight the steadfast character of Turkmen � Palestinian relations, which are built on the principles of trust and constructiveness. Having returned warm greetings and expressed gratitude for the invitation to visit Palestine to President Mahmoud Abbas, the Leader of the Nation highlighted invariable commitment of neutral Turkmenistan to the development of equal and successful cooperation with all countries of the world including the states of the Middle East.
During interested exchange of the visions on the prospects of Turkmen � Palestine partnership, the head of the State and the Ambassador confirmed common intent of the sides to consolidate cooperation in bilateral and multilateral format under competent international and regional organizations and structures.
In this context, it was mentioned that first official visit of the President of Palestine to Turkmenistan and opening of the Embassy of friendly country in Turkmen capital in November of the last year were important milestones in the history of interstate relations. The important agreements achieved at high-level Ashgabat talks and set out in signed package of documents, made solid foundation for increase of beneficial trade and economic cooperation and activation of fruitful relations in humanitarian and cultural spheres. Mutual intents of the sides to establish joint interstate commission and business contacts as well as to organize the days of cultures are summoned to favour this.
the end of the meeting, the Ambassador expressed his deep gratitude to the Turkmen leader for active attention to the subjects of interstate partnership, having assured that he would comprehensively promote the realization of its potential. Taking an opportunity, Hossain Ali Mostafa Gannam addressed cordial congratulations on International Novruz Day to Turkmen people.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Palestinian diplomat expressed the confidence in further successful development of Turkmen � Palestinian relations.
