President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Karl Erjavec who arrived in Turkmenistan as a head of representative delegation of his country for participation in regular session of Turkmen � Slovenian Intergovernmental Commission for trade and economic cooperation.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged the visions of broad spectrum of issues of Turkmen � Slovenian cooperation. Realization of the agreements achieved earlier as well as the prospects of further development of intergovernmental relations in different spheres were discussed. In this context, the importance of intergovernmental agreements and other regulatory legal documents signed during the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Slovenia in May 2015 was highlighted.
Special attention was paid to the agenda of regular session of bilateral Intergovernmental Commission during which the opportunity of consolidation if cooperation would be reviewed and priority directions of partnership, particularly in economic sector, would be specified.
Highly appreciating peace-loving foreign policy of Turkmenistan, which gained approval and support of world's community, the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the importance of international initiatives proposed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the interests of universal prosperity and sustainable development.
The Head of foreign policy department of friendly country made special mention of the significance of positive neutrality of Turkmenistan that is an important factor of peace and stability in the region.
At the end of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Karl Erjavec expressed the confidence in further development of constructive dialog meeting the interests of both sides.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to Turkmenistan Primoz Sheligo took part in the meeting.
