President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a bike ride and a horse walk

The Turkmen leader demonstrates with his personal example the important role of sport in human life, showing a striking performance, organization and purposefulness.

Having left today for the morning warm-up together with his son and grandson, the Head of State once again showed that sport unites generations, inspires and recharges with positive emotions. After the warm up President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with his family have done a bike ride. The route ran in the vicinity of the capital, which in these spring days is dressed in a green outfit with splashes of bright wildflowers.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov together with his son Serdar and grandson Kerimguly on bicycles arrived to the Akhalteke horse complex located at the foothills of the Kopetdag, and then continued the ride on the horses Adylkhan, Gujurl and Miras.

"Paradise" horses have always been a source of pride and reverence among the Turkmen people, its constant companions throughout history. The image of a steed occupies a firm place in the folk art - in ancient epics and ancient deities passed down from generation to generation, songs, proverbs and sayings, where the horse often acts as a yardstick of human spiritual values, the embodiment of beauty and harmony, grace and power.

Kerimguly brilliantly learned the lessons of his grandfather in the art of controlling the horse, he demonstrated his skill in competitions of jockeys-juniors. And recently the grandson of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov started training horses. Having passed an excellent school on care and education of horses, Kerimguly learned all the methods of training and sports training of these magnificent animals.

When in April we widely and solemnly celebrated the Holiday of the Turkmen horse, we witnessed how the Head of State won in competitions among experienced tutor riders, coming first to the finish line on the horse Miras, which was trained for the races by Kerimguly. This is the continuity of the generations and the best traditions of Turkmen horse breeding.

At the same time, on holidays, the leader of the nation participated on behalf of the military and law enforcement personnel of the country on a magnificent horse named Adylkhan. Now it is also trained by the grandson of the President of Turkmenistan, preparing the horse for sporting victories.

In Turkmenistan, there is full support for the modernization of domestic horse breeding, the development of various types of equestrian sports, including jumping, which, by the initiative of the Head of State, entered the competitive program of the Asian Games-2017.

The program of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which will be held in Ashgabat this fall, includes track cycling. In the capital's Olympic city, the largest in Central Asia, a magnificent indoor cycle track was built, meeting the highest international standards. Test competitions were held here in preparation for the Asian Games-2017. Based on their results, the preliminary composition of the national cycling team has been formed, which is to be competing for medals of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
