President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is currently in Erevan on official visit, has visited the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and held the negotiations with Chairman of Armenian Parliament Ara Babloyan.
Having spoken for the consolidation of inter-Parliamentarian relations as an important component of Turkmen � Armenian partnership, the speaker of the Parliament of Armenia introduced the main aspects of work of the highest legislative body of his country.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also presented the Chairman of National Assembly of the Armenia with the key directions of activity of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, having noted that legislative provision of the reforms and large-scale transformation programmes are the utmost objectives of national parliament.
The Head of the State highlighted that deputies of Turkmen parliament carry out the work for improvement of legislative and regulatory base of the country taking into account the priorities of the State and advanced world's practice in legal sphere. Undertaking steadfast measures for implementation of international law standards into national legislation, Turkmenistan attaches special attention to the development of democratic institutions and establishment of civic society.
