President Ilham Aliyev Congratulates Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei on National Holiday

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on the occasion of the national holiday of the Islamic Republic of Iran - Victory Day of the Islamic Revolution, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev expressed his sincerest congratulations and best wishes to Ayatollah Khamenei and the Iranian nation on behalf of himself and the people of Azerbaijan. He emphasized the strong relations between Azerbaijan and Iran, which are rooted in shared moral values and a long history of friendship and good neighborliness.

In his letter, President Aliyev highlighted the importance of developing interstate relations and expanding cooperation between the two nations. He noted that the current bilateral agenda includes several issues of mutual interest and expressed confidence in the potential for further deepening of cooperation.

President Aliyev also affirmed his belief that the relations between Azerbaijan and Iran, grounded in mutual respect and good neighborliness, will continue to progress in alignment with the interests of both states and peoples. He emphasized the contribution of these relations to regional stability and security.

On the occasion of the Victory Day of the Islamic Revolution, President Aliyev conveyed his wishes for robust health and success to Ayatollah Khamenei, as well as peace and prosperity to the people of Iran.
