Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has emphasized the significant contributions of the solidarity between Azerbaijan and Turkey to the broader Turkic world. In a letter addressed to the participants of the 28th Eurasian Economic Summit, President Aliyev underscored the role of this unity in fostering prosperity, peace, and security in the region, as well as its importance to the entire Eurasian continent.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev commended Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his unparalleled contributions to strengthening the Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood and expanding their strategic alliance. He highlighted that the exceptional interstate relations between the two countries are deeply rooted in a shared history and rich national and spiritual values, leading to dynamic development and positive regional influence.
President Aliyev also reflected on Azerbaijan's historical role as a crossroads of diverse cultures and faiths, where representatives of different nations have coexisted in an atmosphere of friendship, brotherhood, and mutual trust. He stressed that preserving traditions of friendship, interfaith dialogue, multiculturalism, and tolerance is a fundamental aspect of Azerbaijan's public policy.
Furthermore, the Azerbaijani leader reiterated the country's commitment to fostering harmonious international cultural relations and promoting inter-civilizational dialogue to achieve mutual understanding on a global scale. He expressed Azerbaijan's dedication to establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus and ensuring socioeconomic prosperity in the region.
