Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inspected the designated site for the Khankendi-Shusha cable car construction on July 3. The visit highlighted the ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and connectivity in the region.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev received a briefing on the technical specifications of the cable car project. The planned cable car will extend approximately 6,000 meters, with an elevation of 844 meters in Khankendi and 1,317 meters in Shusha. The anticipated travel time between the two points is up to 13 minutes, moving at a speed of 8 meters per second.

The project is expected to significantly boost tourism development and provide a convenient travel option between Khankendi and Shusha, facilitating smoother transit in both directions.
