Nine contracts have been signed with these manufacturers for direct equipment delivery. A team of 54 specialists from the manufacturing company has been dispatched to oversee the assembly, configuration, and testing of the carriages on-site. Each new train can accommodate 315 passengers in the lead carriages and 329 passengers in the middle carriages, with seating for 38 and 44 passengers respectively. The carriage doors are 1400 mm wide, 12% wider than previous generations. Of the seven trains delivered, assembly of five is complete, with the remaining two expected to be operational by November 8. President Ilham Aliyev personally examined the newly assembled carriages. With these additions, the Baku Metro now boasts 150 of the latest-generation carriages.
