President Ilham Aliyev: We Are Rebuilding Aghdam from Scratch

Aghdam: President Ilham Aliyev announced during a meeting with residents in the village of Sarijali, Aghdam, that the city is being rebuilt from scratch. He highlighted the ongoing large-scale construction efforts in the region, emphasizing the commitment to restore Aghdam.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev detailed the infrastructure developments that have taken place in the post-occupation period. Key projects include the reconstruction of the Aghdam-Barda road, which has been rebuilt to a higher standard than during the Soviet era. Additionally, the Aghdam-Khankendi road is being expanded to a four-lane highway, similar to the Barda-Aghdam road. A new railway line is under construction and is expected to be operational within the year, improving accessibility to Aghdam with a new station also under development. Furthermore, President Aliyev noted the restoration of the Aghdam mosque as part of the city's revitalization efforts.
