President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has appointed vice-premiers of the new government of the country. The head of state signed the relevant documents at the first meeting of the government after the inauguration via video link.
First of all, the Turkmen leader adopted a resolution "On approval of the composition of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan", which includes 9 deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, 17 ministers and 20 heads of sectoral departments.
Then the head of state signed decrees on the appointment of vice-premiers. In accordance with the documents, Mukhammedguly Mukhammedov (economics), Sapardurdy Toylyev (science, education and health care), Myakhrijemal Mammedova (culture and media), Shahym Abdrakhmanov (oil and gas complex), Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev (agriculture), Charymyrat Purchekov were appointed deputy heads of the Turkmen government (industry, construction and electric power industry), Chary Gylydzhov (trade and entrepreneurship), Rashid Meredov (foreign policy) and Charymyrat Amanov (power structures).
Also, Rashid Meredov was appointed the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and Charymyrat Amanov - the secretary of the State Security Council of the country.
In addition, by presidential decree, Mammetkhan Chakiev was appointed director general of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
The vast majority of vice-premiers worked in the previous government and were reappointed to their posts. In making these decisions, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the great experience of the appointees. The only new person among the deputy prime ministers is Mukhammedguly Mukhammedov, who took over the post of deputy prime minister for economics, which Serdar Berdimuhamedov held before being elected head of state.
After the appointments, addressing the members of the Cabinet of Ministers, the head of state instructed them to propose worthy candidates for the positions of heads of the supervised industries within a week, which meets the requirements of the legislation, which prescribes to form a new government within a month.
