President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid an official visit to the Republic of Armenia

High-ranking representatives of Armenia met a high Turkmen guest at the International Airport of Yerevan.

From the airport, the motorcade of the Turkmen leader went to the fashionable "Radisson Blu" hotel, where the residence was reserved for the head of Turkmenistan during the visit.

The visit of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Yerevan, undertaken by him at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan is designed to give a new powerful impetus to the constructive interstate dialogue, to concretize common approaches to further building mutually beneficial cooperation taking into account the positive experience of partnership.

During the summit scheduled for August 24, an exchange of views on various regional and international issues of mutual interest will also take place. Bilateral documents are expected to be signed as a result of the upcoming high-level talks.

In the context of the focus on intensification of trade and economic interaction, special importance is attached to regular business meetings of the state and business structures, business forums.

There is also available great potential for deepening traditional relations in the field of culture, humanitarian dialogue.

Education, sports and tourism, providing an opportunity for direct contacts and close communication of two peoples with unique heritage of spiritual and material culture were also defined as prospective directions in view of the general priorities of the state development.

The trust established between the two countries contributes not only to building up bilateral cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, but also to developing coordinated interaction on the world stage, primarily on the platform of authoritative international organizations and regional structures - the United Nations, Commonwealth of Independent States, etc.
