President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Qian Naicheng.

The diplomat conveyed to the head of state a congratulatory letter from President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and China. Also, the Turkmen leader received an official diplomatic letter of invitation to the upcoming XXIV Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.

“The Chinese side will host the Beijing Winter Olympics from February 4 to 20, 2022. Given the high level of strategic partnership relations between China and Turkmenistan and deep friendship between the heads of the two countries, the Chinese side invites the distinguished President of Turkmenistan, Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to take part in the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing, ”the letter says.

Handing over to the President of the PRC reciprocal wishes and a congratulatory letter on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the PRC, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked the Chinese side for the invitation to the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.
