The creation and diversification of a multi vector system of transcontinental and Asian gas pipelines opens up new opportunities for the supply of hydrocarbon resources to world markets, the head of Turkmenistan stated, saying that in this regard, the country's export potential should be significantly increased.

K.Myradov noted the importance of the military reform being carried out on the initiative and under the leadership of the head of state, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, undertaken within its framework to strengthen the material and technical base of the National Army, develop military science, improve the training of defenders of the motherland, improve the living conditions, life and service of military personnel and members of their families, patriotic education of the younger generation.
On behalf of the Turkmen military personnel, K. And this requires constitutional and economic reforms, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The adoption of documents developed on the basis of the proposals received is fully consistent with the development goals of an independent neutral Turkmen state in the near and long term.
Continuing the theme, the head of Turkmenistan emphasized that, as he already noted in his speech, in order to further modernize the country's legislative system, bring the activities of the national parliament in line with the requirements of modern society, ensure the phased development of socio political relations, as well as improve the work of state legal authorities, it seems appropriate to change the legal status of the Halk Maslakhaty.

Speaking about this, the President signed a decree on the establishment of a constitutional commission to develop and summarize proposals in connection with amendments and additions to the Constitution of Turkmenistan and approval of its composition.
Further, following the established good tradition, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the relevant documents on awarding state awards to distinguished citizens and on conferring honorary titles.
As the head of state noted, recognizing the high personal merits and taking into account the great contribution to strengthening and developing international cooperation, implementing the foreign policy of our neutral state, as well as many years of service in the diplomatic field, it was decided to give the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan the highest state award with appreciation and respect UN Axoltan Ataev confer on her the high rank of Hero of Turkmenistan.
As an experienced diplomat with a high level of professional excellence, she has for many years worthily represented the country at the United Nations. The Turkmenistanis are sincerely proud of the achievements of the illustrious fellow countryman, who has accounted for four space flights and five spacewalks.
It is gratifying to note, the head of state continued, that today Oleg Kononenko has been at the International Space Station for longer than all modern cosmonauts. For four flights to the ISS, he was in Earth orbit for 737 days. To date, no one has achieved such a result.
And therefore, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted, it is a great honor for him to announce the decision to award Oleg Kononenko the highest state award to confer on him the title of Hero of Turkmenistan for his personal heroism in the exploration of outer space for peaceful purposes, high professionalism and successes achieved, as well as for outstanding services to the country and society.
As for bilateral interstate relations, the President noted with satisfaction that currently the traditionally friendly dialogue between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, based on the principles of strategic partnership, the age old bonds of friendship and trust, has been successfully developing in a wide range of areas.
The positive character is inherent in the Turkmen Russian cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres and other areas, the head of state emphasized, noting the continued interest in the systematic build up of bilateral relations and effective cooperation.
Confirming his readiness to further develop fruitful ties between the two countries, to make mutual efforts to unlock the enormous potential of the partnership, expand its directions, and as a result, bring friendly Turkmen Russian relations to a qualitatively new level, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on assigning Oleg Kononenko a high titles Hero of Turkmenistan.
Then, addressing the forum participants, the President proposed to hold the next meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty in 2020 in the city of Ashgabat, by signing the relevant Resolution.
The head of state also signed the Resolution of the Halk Maslakhaty on approving the main directions of socio economic development of Turkmenistan in 2020.
Further, the meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty continued with the ceremony of presenting state awards. To announce the decrees on awarding, the floor was given to the Chairman of the Mejlis G. Mammadova.
