At a meeting on November 5, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov summed up the results of the work of the Cabinet of Ministers for 10 months of this year, the state information agency TDH reported .
It should be noted that the summing up was preceded by the dissatisfaction of the head of state with the state of affairs in the financial, construction, oil and gas, chemical and agro-industrial fields, in connection with which the president issued six reprimands to officials.
Summing up the meeting, the head of state said that despite the difficulties in the global economy caused by the coronavirus pandemic, “we have managed to maintain GDP growth at 6.2%.” Also, according to the plans, the commissioning of 30 facilities is envisaged, and 66 large facilities have already been commissioned.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that manufacturing industries are being modernized, a market economy is being formed, new oil and gas fields are being developed, TAP and TAPI are being built, but "there is still a lot to be done, for which it is necessary to work hard and selflessly."
“In order to complete this year with good performance and meet 2022 with dignity, it is necessary to resolve many issues,” the president said, but did not specify which ones.
The officials were again instructed:
• significantly accelerate the implementation of state programs for the production of import-substituting products;
• to increase the volume of production of export-oriented goods;
• expand the range of manufactured domestic products and the routes of their supplies abroad.
