President: Two more European countries will become importers of Azerbaijani gas by the end of the year

The Southern Gas Corridor project has already been successfully implemented, and in two years Azerbaijan has become an important gas supplier to Europe, the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said on July 21 at the Shusha Global Media Forum on the topic "New Media in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution". Recalling that the President of the European Commission called Azerbaijan a reliable partner, and the European Commissioner for Energy called our country a pan-European gas supplier, the head of state noted: "Of course, the geography of our gas supplies to Europe is expanding. I hope that two more European countries will become buyers of Azerbaijani gas by the end of the year." Earlier it was reported that if the infrastructure allows, Hungary and Serbia will become new consumers of Azerbaijani gas in Europe from December. At the same time, Serbia will import Azerbaijani gas via an interconnector through Bulgaria, and Hungary via a connecting pipeline through Romania. Then, Azerbaijani gas should be delivered to Slovakia via Hungary.
