Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Nursultan Nazarbayev confirm the commitment to constructive cooperation

There was a telephone conversation between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Cordially having greeted each other, the two Leaders reaffirmed the continued commitment of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan to relations of friendship, brotherhood and good neighborliness.

Having congratulated cordially the Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov on his convincing victory in elections of the President of Turkmenistan on February 12, which have demonstrated national support to the policy conducted by him, President Nursultan Nazarbayev wished the Turkmen Leader success in his responsible work for the benefit of the Turkmen people.

Having expressed his gratitude for the greetings and good wishes, the President of Turkmenistan also wished best regards to the brotherly people of Kazakhstan.

During the telephone conversation the Heads of the neighboring states discussed priorities of bilateral cooperation in the context of implementation of the previously reached agreements and plans. As noted, the regular contacts at the highest and intergovernmental level, including in the framework of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakh Commission and joint Business Council, will allow giving the interstate interaction, rates and quality that meet the impressive potential of both countries.

In the course of the conversation, the two Leaders called for the deepening of fruitful relations in the humanitarian sphere.

Both sides have also exchanged views on topical issues of regional and international issues. The commitment of the two countries' constructive cooperation was confirmed in the framework of authoritative international organizations, primarily the UN.

President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov also invited President Nursultan Nazarbayev to visit Turkmenistan.
