Presidents of Turkmenistan and Belarus discuss partnership priorities

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed priority areas of bilateral partnership with President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who arrived in Ashgabat to attend a meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State.

During the meeting, the heads of Turkmenistan and Belarus discussed the current state and key issues of Turkmen-Belarusian cooperation. At the same time, the parties noted the diverse potential of expanding cooperation in the trade and economic sphere.

The talks also focused on expanding the traditional dialogue in the humanitarian field, where effective contacts were established between education, science and culture. According to the heads of Turkmenistan and Belarus, there are currently good prospects for enhancing interaction and exchange of experience in the fields of sports and tourism.
