Presidents of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan held telephone conversations

Key issues of development of bilateral cooperation were discussed during a telephone conversation by the Presidents of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The parties exchanged views on issues of expanding cooperation in the field of transport. In particular, special attention was paid to expanding international transportation routes and increasing the volume of mutual trade. The heads of state also discussed issues of building up cooperation in the fuel and energy sector and the agro-industrial complex.

During the talks, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the historical and cultural commonality of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan contributes to a fruitful exchange in the field of science and culture. In this regard, the heads of state spoke in favor of expanding spiritual and cultural ties between the two friendly neighboring states and peoples.
