Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov on the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries

Since Turkmenistan gained independence, our countries have established friendly relations, the message says.

Over the period from 2009, You have triply visited Japan. In particular, during Your visit in 2013, we signed documents on economic projects in a total value of over one trillion Japanese Yen, which answered for a large-scale development of cooperation between the two countries. In addition, in 2015, You've visited the city of Sendai and participated in the UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction.

In turn, in 2015 I visited Turkmenistan for the first time, during which consensus was developed to establish cooperation in various fields. Such active exchange of visits on the highest level gave a high-power impulse to Japanese-Turkmen relations, and it makes me very happy.

I want to mention our commitment to promote further deepening bilateral cooperation, aimed at the implementation of various joint economic projects, advancement of the Japanese engineering and technical education, as well as teaching the Japanese language.

In the framework of the Dialogue Central Asia + Japan, in which Turkmenistan is currently party to the presiding country, I rely on further strengthening and extending the friendly Japanese-Turkmen relations, - the message underlines.
