Prominent blogger Ilya Varlamov made a two-hour film about Berdymukhamedov’s autocracy and Turkmen activists

On November 24, the well-known Russian blogger Ilya Varlamov published a film about Turkmenistan from the series “30 years without the USSR”, dedicated to the current situation in the former republics of the Soviet Union.

 

The two-hour film tells about the history of independent Turkmenistan, the authoritarian regimes of Saparmurat Niyazov and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov , the problems of the country’s residents and Turkmen activists, whom the country’s authorities persecute even abroad.
