Prosecutors say they'll probably decide by next week on whether to investigate President Park Geun-hye over the snowballing Choi Soon-sil scandal.
Former presidential aides An Chong-bum and Jeong Ho-seong have said the president ordered them to raise funds from local firms for two foundations under Choi Soon-sil's control.
The prosecution plans to indict Choi next Saturday before the legal deadline for her detention expires.
Prosecutors are looking into An's notebook and mobile phone conversations between Jeong and Choi to corroborate Park's alleged involvement.
Prosecutors are also examining the president's role in leaking sensitive government documents to Choi, who has no government title or public profile.
