The "Protection of the Heritage of Western Azerbaijanis and the Right to Return" Public Union has been established in France by Azerbaijanis deported from Armenia, APA reports.
The main goal of the organization is to prevent the destruction of the rich cultural heritage created by the Azerbaijani people over the centuries on the territory of Armenia, to direct the attention of the international community to this problem, and to support the peaceful return of Western Azerbaijanis to their historical ancestral lands.
The co-founder of the organization, officially registered with the name “Association pour la Protection du Patrimoine et le Droit au Retour des Azerbaïdjanais Occidentaux”, is Zaur Sadigbayli, who is originally from Yerevan.
The establishment of the public union will contribute to the work of increasing the awareness regarding the realities of the Western Azerbaijan at the international level.
