BAKU: PwC Azerbaijan, in collaboration with AmCham and COP29, hosted high-level workshops on "How to Read and Understand ESG Reports" on October 21 and 22. These seminars aimed to raise awareness about the importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting for businesses in Azerbaijan, bringing together media representatives, business leaders, and academia for comprehensive discussions on ESG standards and their impact on business. As Azerbaijan moves toward establishing a unified ESG platform, PwC Azerbaijan is playing a key role in educating and preparing businesses to meet international ESG standards. The events highlighted the growing demand for transparency, corporate responsibility, and the role of businesses in addressing environmental challenges and fostering social progress. The seminars featured valuable insights from industry leaders, including representatives from PwC Azerbaijan, Coca-Cola, Harvard Business Review, COP29, AmCham, and other stakeholders. Discussions focused on pr actical approaches to ESG reporting and the importance of aligning with global sustainability trends. PwC experts, including Senior Managers in Audit, Gunay Asgarova and Sevinj Alakparova, presented on the technical aspects and formulation of ESG reports.
