On 2 June big queues formed in front of Ashgabat filling stations.
Today, on 4 June, the queues have disappeared.
We failed to find out the reason behind the unexpected boom. Some drivers made assumptions that on 3 June the city would be cordoned off ahead of the celebrations of the Day of Bicycle and decided to fill up the gas tanks.
Others think that the country is currently experiencing a shortage of fuel as for a few days there were no petrol of A95 grade at the filling stations.
