BAKU: The railway line towards Azerbaijan's Aghband village of the Zangilan district is being constructed at a swift pace, Chairperson of the Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Rovshan Rustamov said at an event titled "Sustainable Transport for the Future," Trend reports. "The principal objective of the tour to Iran pertained to the railway project from Aghband to Salam Melik. The subsequent step entails the preparation of comprehensive project documents for the reconstruction of the Nakhchivan railway. The railway line route traversing Iran was meticulously examined during consultations with Iranian counterparts. The most appropriate and efficient route has been essentially established, and final discussions are currently in progress concerning the placement of bridges and the general alignment of the railway line," he stated.
