Baku: Rainfall in Baku has reached twice its monthly norm, marking the heaviest downpour in the city since 1966. The significant precipitation has been ongoing, with expectations for further increases, as reported by Gulnara Abbasova, Deputy Head of the National Hydrometeorology Service of Azerbaijan.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Abbasova informed journalists about the current weather situation, highlighting that over the past 15 hours, the precipitation levels have varied across different regions. In Baku, the recorded amount of rainfall has reached 57 mm, already double the monthly average. The last instance of such severe rainfall was recorded in 1966, suggesting a notable weather event for the city.
