Baku: The history of relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Georgia dates back centuries, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated at a joint press conference with Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the years of independence, the history of relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia is approaching 35 years. Bayramov noted that there have been very difficult periods in history and significant challenges for statehood. The defining characteristic of Azerbaijani-Georgian relations is the maintenance of friendly and neighborly ties.
Bayramov emphasized that relations are founded on the principles of non-interference in each other's internal affairs and adherence to international law. He asserted that the relations between the two states are currently at the highest level, reflecting a commitment to mutual respect and cooperation.
