The relations with Kyrgyzstan are very good and very friendly, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev told on Friday in Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan answering the question of journalists during the opening ceremony of the Global Media Forum on 'New Media in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution'. 'I paid a state visit to Kyrgyzstan and the Kyrgyz president paid a visit to Azerbaijan and we also meet regularly at the meetings of Turkish organization summit also CIS summit,' he said. Concerning the relations with Central Asian republics, the Azerbaijani President characterized them as very dynamic. 'We are now actively working on bilateral level on the issues related to investment and trade. We established joint investment fund with Uzbekistan and with Kyrgyzstan. The amount of assets is not very big. It depends on availability of the project. Uzbekistan's fund is about half a billion US dollars, with Kyrgyzstan - 25 million US dollars. These funds can be enlarged and they will be enlarged,' Aliyev noted. He added that Azerbaijan is also working actively working with Central Asian countries on the issues related to connectivity and transportation infrastructure. 'Several days ago, I received the prime minister of Uzbekistan and prime minister of Kazakhstan, the main topics of conversation was transportation of goods across the Caspian through Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkiye and this route is going to be one of the important transportation routes of Central Asian countries. Because Azerbaijan's transportation infrastructure is modern and is capable to handle cargoes much more than now we have, I think that it has a great future in our relations' the Azerbaijani leader said. The Global Media Forum on 'New Media in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution' has been opened in Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan on Friday. A total of 150 foreign journalists from 49 countries, including media representatives from Kyrgyzstan are taking part in the forum, which will last till July 23.
