Turkmen kickboxing masters achieved another great success in large international competitions. This time, they distinguished themselves in the tournament in Helsinki (Finland) where they won 7 gold, one silver and three bronze medals.
Students of National Institute of Sport and Tourism Charyglych Tagangylyjov (up to 60 kg), Muhammet Altybayev (up to 63.5 kg), Shohrat Halliyev (up to 67 kg) and Shohrat Yagmyrov (up to 75 kg) won gold medals. Two employees of government organizations Gochmyrat Jumaniyazov (up to 71 kg) and Azamat Jumakuliyev (up to 81 kg) brought another two gold medals to collection of sport achievements of Turkmenistan. Azat Annayev, the Coach of Turkmenbashy Sport School (Balkan Velayat) won the gold in the fights up to 91 kg.
Representative of Kickboxing Federation Shohrat Pirimanov (up to 86 kg) was on the second place. Coach of Turkmenabad Sport School (Lebap Velayat) Nariman Aydogdiyev (up to 60 kg), student of Sport institute Merdan Mamedov (up to 67 kg) and Seyitmuhammet Chariyev (up to 75 kg) won the bronze.
Honoured Coach of Turkmenistan and Head Coach of National Team Alexander Snagovskiy prepared our kickboxing fighters for this competitions. Now, his fosters are faced with enhanced training for another large international tournament planned to be held in our country in the capital Olympic village in April.
These competitions will give opportunity to test not only our sportsmen nut also new sport grounds, which as is known, will host V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in September of this year. Final composition of Turkmen National Kickboxing Team will be formed by the results of coming competitions in Ashgabat in April.
