Representatives of foreign diplomatic missions speak about cooperation with the Institute of International Relations

The Institute of International Relations celebrated its 10th anniversary with friends the participants of the anniversary forum. Among the guests to the university were the heads and specialists of the state and public structures, parliamentarians, the specialists of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and the representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in our country.

The special issue of the university newspaper "Young Diplomat's Voice" was prepared on the occasion of the anniversary. This is the third issue: the debut was dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the university, and in 2014, the newspaper told about the Day of Diplomatic Workers of Turkmenistan.

Foreign guests talked with young journalists, confiding them in the nuances of the diplomatic mission, shared their impressions of the work in our country.

Those speaking during the forum focused on the tasks set to the younger generation of diplomats in the context of building up multi-format international cooperation and implementing international initiatives of the Turkmen leader to revive the Great Silk Road in the new format.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates in Turkmenistan Hasan Abdullah Al-Adab underlined the high level of professionalism of young Turkmen diplomats. Mr. Al-Adab noted that there was a tradition in the Institute of International Relations - to invite the heads of the diplomatic missions accredited in the country to conduct lecture courses. Such a practice is worthy to be praised, this is an excellent way to educate future diplomats, said the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates in Turkmenistan. The Ambassador also underlined the importance of holding thematic conferences and seminars at the university, which provide the platforms for discussions on the significant issues of the national and foreign policy of the country.

Speaking during the forum, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Turkmenistan Margret Uebber emphasized that the world was at the difficult stage of its development, and therefore highly skilled specialists, particularly in the field of international law, linguistics, etc. are of particular importance.

Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Central Asia, Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy Natalia German expressed belief that the young generation of diplomats trained by the Institute of International Relations would multiply the traditions of the national school of diplomacy and would efficiently work for the benefit of the Turkmen state and society. The Institute of International Relations and the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy are connected with the fruitful decade-long cooperation, within the framework of which various joint events, scientific and practical conferences and round tables on various aspects of the world diplomacy and politics, as well as student competitions were organized. Among the most recent ones is the conference dedicated to the International Day of Neutrality and the 10th anniversary of the UNRCCA, as well as the brain-ring between students from a number of universities in Turkmenistan.

Rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development Esen Aydogdyev emphasized that the innovative model of the modern development of Turkmenistan envisaged the complex approach to training personnel training, the formation of the highly intelligent, initiative, creative-thinking generation. Two universities are connected with the close cooperation and the exchange of experience at all levels is mutually beneficial. The spirit of the partnership is based on the community of missions in the context of the priorities of the current development of the country. The active participation of Turkmenistan in the regional and global integration processes requires highly qualified human resources, fluent in foreign languages, for the implementation of the large-scale tasks set to the young generation of specialists in the sphere of international relations.
