A joint meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Commonwealth Member States to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth and the Commission on Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council was held at the CIS headquarters in Minsk. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev and his deputies.
During the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus, Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of Turkmenistan to the statutory and other bodies of the CIS, Nazarguly Shagulyev, spoke about the possibilities of the transport industry of Turkmenistan within the framework of the “Program for the Development of Transport Diplomacy for 2022–2025” approved in Turkmenistan. He focused the attention of the audience on the results achieved in the creation of the Turkmen transport and logistics system, on the prospects for its development.
The speech emphasized that the implementation of the goals and objectives set in the "Program for the Development of Transport Diplomacy for 2022-2025" will serve to further strengthen the potential of the state's transport sector, the multifaceted development of international cooperation, and improve the legislative framework in the industry. The new foreign policy strategy of Turkmenistan provides for the strengthening of the country's position as a regional center of interstate transport and transit corridors.
