Representatives of Turkmenistan and Afghan province of Herat held talks

Representatives of Turkmenistan and the Afghan province of Herat met at the Serhetabat - Turgundi checkpoint. The negotiations were attended by representatives of the security, banking, financial and medical departments of the two countries.

During the conversation, the current issues of bilateral interaction related to the implementation of border, customs and phytosanitary supervision in border areas, taking into account the current sanitary and epidemiological standards, were considered. A separate topic of discussion was the increase in cargo passing through the Serhetabat-Turgundi checkpoint, as well as assistance in providing the Afghan side with the necessary medical equipment.
