Representatives of Turkmenistan to be trained in the Energy Charter Secretariat

The issue of internships by representatives of Turkmenistan in the Energy Charter Secretariat was considered at a bilateral meeting at the Foreign Ministry of the country.

The Energy Charter delegation, led by Secretary General Urban Rusnak, arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit on January 22.

During the talks, the sides discussed a number of issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Energy Charter, the foreign ministry of the country reports .

This year, a regular meeting of the Central and South Asia Regional Energy Cooperation Group (RECCA) will also be held.

In 2014, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Urban Rusak , who confirmed Turkmenistan 's willingness to participate in EU-supported joint projects to ensure global energy security.

The Energy Charter is the 1991 document, which is a political declaration of intent to encourage energy cooperation between East and West. The Energy Charter Secretariat is an international organization based in Brussels.
