Robototechnique contest at the International University of Humanitarian Sciences and Development

The intellectual contest is dedicated to the Science Day, celebrated on June 12. The contest participants - students of all courses and areas of study were divided into 12 teams.

The competition was organized in the format of the robotics trade show, which worked throughout the day. Visitors to this innovative exhibition - almost a thousand of people, received invitations. Each ticket gave the right to visitors to vote for the project they liked.

As a result of voting, the robot - painter PaintBot that is able to paint a given object with a special roller won the first place.

The second place was awarded to two socially significant projects aimed at supporting people with disabilities.

The telephone applications for cash registers, a robot-engraver and 'smart' sensors regulating the supply of ultraviolet light to improve the viability of chickens in a poultry farm took the third place.

The visitors to the fair demonstrated keen interest in other 'exhibits', including amusing self-feed containers, educational toys, self-cleaning filters for industrial complexes, etc.

The contest was summed up within the framework of the solemn ceremony. The authors of the top-rated works were awarded with special certificates and memorable prizes.

The annual contest is a joint initiative of the Department of Computer Technologies and Systems and the University Club of Young Engineers. It is carried out with the aim to develop the scientific and creative potential of young people, and not only students of the International University for the Humanitarian Sciences and Development. Students from other universities, as well as senior pupils of Ashgabat secondary schools were invited to select the winners.
