On October 1, Roskomnadzor blocked the website of the Fergana news agency in Russia without giving reasons .
According to the data on the website of Roskomnadzor, access to the page is limited on the territory of the Russian Federation on the basis of Article 15.1 of the Federal Law On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection (Unified Register of Domain Names, Indexes of Pages on Internet Sites and Network Addresses, allowing to identify sites on the Internet containing information the distribution of which is prohibited in the Russian Federation ").
According to the editorial staff of the publication, the same article states that before blocking, the owners of the site should have been informed of violations and closed access only if the warning was ignored.
We did not receive any warnings. We don't have any idea what information was published with us and who complained about, the Ferghana editorial office said.
To access the site, you can use numerous, including free, VPN applications or use the "mirror" of the portal at: fergana.news .
Ferghana is one of the oldest and most respected Russian-language publications writing about Central Asia. At different times, access to the site was limited by the governments of all countries of the region. At the moment, Ferghana is being blocked only in Turkmenistan and, more recently, in Russia.
The editors of the Chronicles of Turkmenistan express their support to colleagues and friends from Ferghana.
