Moscow: Five individuals who were internationally wanted have been extradited to Azerbaijan, as reported by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan to APA. This development marks a significant milestone in the cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan under the existing legal frameworks. According to Azeri-Press news agency, the extradition requests were made in accordance with the Convention on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters, dated October 7, 2002. The individuals, identified as Azerbaijani citizens Gadim Adilov Adil, Ilgar Israfilov Etibar, Namig Garibov Agakhan, Mahir Huseynov Zahir, and Vahid Abbasov Edilman, were extradited following approval from the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation. The individuals are suspected of committing various criminal acts as outlined in the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Consequently, they have been charged and placed on international wanted lists after evading investigations . Their detention was executed in Russia, and they were subsequently escorted to Azerbaijan by a special convoy from the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
