S. Berdimuhamedov opened the “most modern in the world” Power Equipment Repair Center in Ashgabat

On July 20, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov solemnly opened the Power Equipment Repair and Maintenance Center in the Buzmeyinsky etrap of Ashgabat, the state information agency TDH reports .

The decision to build the Center on an area of 2.60 hectares became known in May 2019, when the project of the enterprise was presented to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov .

In the building of the Center, the president held a solemn meeting, at which he announced that the main equipment of power facilities built in all regions of the country would be repaired here, which would reduce the time and costs for these services, and also help in the training of highly qualified specialists.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov said that the Center, where 120 jobs have been created, has introduced advanced technologies from the American company General Electric. Specialists of the new facility have completed advanced training courses abroad.

Then Ahmet Chalyk spoke, who said that "the Center was built on the initiative of the Hero-Arkadag, as well as thanks to the efforts and support of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov."

It was also said that the Center, which is the most modern among such facilities in the world, will contribute to the uninterrupted operation of the country's power plants at full capacity.

It should be noted that electricity is often cut off in Turkmenistan , including in Ashgabat.

Now there are 12 power plants in Turkmenistan with a design capacity of 6721.6 megawatts. These facilities operate 36 gas and 12 steam turbines.

Bris Raisin , Deputy Head of General Electric Gas Power Europe (USA) , said that the Center will provide advanced solutions for the repair and maintenance of power equipment, as a result of which it will not be necessary to send turbine parts for repair abroad.

Then, according to tradition, certificates were awarded to the new object:

• Brees Raisin presented the Technology Authorization Certificate to General Electric;

• Representative of The London Energy Club (Great Britain) in the USA Hubert Wilson Watson - Certificate of The London Energy Club as the only service center of this profile in Central Asia, as well as as an advanced project and engineering complex;

• Professor of the Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy Systems Technology (Germany) Harald Apel - Certificate for the implementation of sustainable and advanced technologies;

• Professor of the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany) Bernd Reinhold Rosin - Certificate as an environmentally friendly object that does not harm the environment.

The audience was also shown a video film about the Center, after which the president inspected the repair shop and presented new cars to the workers of the facility.

After the opening, the head of state received the chairman of the board of directors of the Çalik Holding group of companies , Ahmet Çalik , whose company was building the Center. First of all, the president conveyed to the businessman the greetings from ex-president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov , and he gave him “wishes for long life and energy.”

Then the head of Çalik Holding reported to Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the progress of important joint projects carried out in partnership with General Electric.
