President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, within the framework of his state visit to China, met in Beijing with the Chairman of the National Committee of the People’s Political Consultative Conference of China (CPPCC) Wang Huning. Press service of the head of state reported.
According to it, the parties exchanged views on strengthening inter-parliamentary ties between the two states, and also discussed plans to promote trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China.
Wang Huning expressed his gratitude to Sadyr Japarov for his contribution to the strengthening of Kyrgyzstan — China relations, expressing confidence that his visit would have complete success and would give a new impetus to the development of partnership.
He focused on the need to strengthen, in addition to bilateral cooperation, also multilateral, regional cooperation, and also outlined the need to raise the level of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, deepen cultural and humanitarian cooperation, strengthen exchanges and contacts through various channels and at different levels, as well as make joint efforts aimed at a comprehensive strategic partnership.
In turn, Sadyr Japarov noted with satisfaction the good results achieved in recent years in the development of inter-parliamentary relations in accordance with the current Memorandum of Cooperation between the Parliaments of the two countries.
The head of state also stressed that China has been and remains one of the main trade and investment partners for Kyrgyzstan for several years.
«The Kyrgyz side is interested in further enhancing cooperation in the field of direct investment in such areas and industries as communications, energy, processing industry, manufacturing industry, agriculture, and tourism,» Sadyr Japarov said.
Touching upon cooperation in the field of science, scientific and technological policy, the President noted the development and expansion of interaction between research institutes of the two countries, the possibility of organizing advanced training for scientists of Kyrgyzstan in research institutes of the PRC, as well as joint funding of scientific research in the most demanded areas of the economy.
In conclusion, he stressed that Kyrgyzstan stands for strengthening and maintaining long-term, stable relations with China, which are beneficial to both states.
