SCRMET Auction Transactions Exceed $24 Million as Global Demand Surges.

Ashgabat: The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) witnessed a significant uptick in activity, with total transactions surpassing 24 million 818 thousand US dollars in recent auctions. Last week, a total of 72 transactions were successfully registered, pointing to a robust trading period for the exchange. According to Turkmenistan State News Agency, international buyers from Trkiye, Hong Kong, and Afghanistan showed interest in Turkmenistan's liquefied gas and lighting kerosene, both products of the State Concern «Trkmennebit». In addition, desulfurized diesel fraction and urea, produced by SC «Trkmenhimiýa», attracted purchases from business entities in the United Arab Emirates, Trkiye, Switzerland, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine. The auction also saw a variety of other products sold for foreign currency, including bed linen sets, cotton yarn, dry licorice extract, denim products, and raw fabric. These items were acquired by buyers from the UAE, Serbia, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan, contributing to the impressive transaction total. On the domestic front, transactions in the local market amounted to over 90 million 88 thousand manats. Domestic entrepreneurs secured petroleum road bitumen and packaging film from SC «Trkmennebit», alongside float glass, hand-made carpets, cotton yarn, and textile waste, highlighting continued demand within Turkmenistan itself.
