On May 26, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Dashoguz velayat on a holiday trip . At the airport, the head of state held a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the development of the region, the state information agency TDH reports .
Deputy Prime Minister for Economic, Banking and International Financial Organizations Muhammetguly Mukhammedov said that due to the attraction of large investments in all areas , the velayat provides for the modernization of the gas chemical, energy sectors, light industry and the building materials industry, as well as an increase in cargo transportation, the development of agriculture and animal husbandry.
Deputy Prime Minister Shahym Abdrakhmanov , who is in charge of the oil and gas industry, reported on the employment of jobs in velayat institutions and at the enterprises of the state concerns Turkmengaz, Turkmengeologiya and the Turkmengeologiya, as well as on the supply of gas and clean drinking water to the population .
Then the president approved the draft resolution submitted by the vice-premier "On the purchase of lifting equipment and their spare parts used in the overhaul and drilling of side wells."
Deputy Prime Minister for Trade Chary Gylyjov said that a tender was held and proposals for the reconstruction of the Serdar cotton spinning factory in Dashoguz and its provision with modern equipment were studied.
Deputy Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov, who is in charge of the construction, industrial and energy complex, reported on the construction of 48 buildings in the region (20 for social purposes and 28 for production). This year, 7 facilities will be put into operation. Two schools for 600 children, a kindergarten for 240 children, a recreation park for children and a bus station, 35 four-story residential buildings, a 500 kilovolt power transmission line and a station along the Balkan-Dashoguz route, as well as internal roads are being built in the region, and the existing ones are being reconstructed.
The Deputy Prime Minister also reported on the provision of farmers with mineral fertilizers and presented a draft resolution on the conclusion of a contract by the state concern "Turkmenhimiya" with LLC "Uzkimyoimpeks" ( Uzbek company for the production of mineral fertilizers and chemical products, - note HT ).
In April 2022, land tenants told the Chronicles of Turkmenistan correspondents that in reality they were given only a part of the required amount of fertilizer. The rest they have to buy at their own expense.
Turkmenistan already purchased fertilizers from the Uzbek "Uzkimyoimpeks" (140 thousand tons of ammonium nitrate) in July last year. In addition, in October 2021, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed to purchase 512,000 tons of phosphate rock and chemical products from Uzkimyoimpeks in 2022-2025.
Deputy Prime Minister Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, reported on the work to improve water supply in the Dashoguz velayat and prepare for grain harvesting. In particular, calculations were made in the region to improve water supply, improve the state of reclamation of agricultural lands and create additional water reserves.
Nevertheless, Serdar Berdimuhamedov severely reprimanded Chairman of the State Committee for Water Resources Guizgeldi Baijanov “for improper performance of official duties, weakening control over the measures taken in the Dashoguz velayat to improve water supply, ensure rational water use, create additional reserves and efficiently operate industry facilities.”
At a meeting on May 10, the president demanded that Esenmyrat Orazgeldiev, who made working trips to Akhal, Balkan and Dashoguz velayats, resolve the issue of reclamation of fields in Dashoguz velayat. According to the Meteorological Journal, the region has been suffering from low water for the third year in a row.
The head of state sent the heads of ministries and departments in charge of the agro-industrial complex to the velayats to monitor the grain harvest campaign. Then the head of state, as his father Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had done before , gave his blessing to start harvesting grain in the Akhal, Lebap and Mary velayats on June 3, and in the Balkan and Dashoguz velayats on June 10.
Khyakim of the Dashoguz velayat Nazarmyrat Nazarmyradov said that a crop of wheat has been grown on an area of 145,000 hectares, which will be harvested by 428 combines and 2,135 vehicles.
Deputy Prime Minister for Culture and Media Myakhrijemal Mammedova spoke about the planned celebrations in the velayat of International Children's Day, World Bicycle Day, Science Day, Day of Cultural and Art Workers, as well as Magtymguly Fragi's poetry.
In addition, on June 4, a meeting "Objects of the national historical and cultural heritage of the Dashoguz velayat in the system of international tourism" will be held, dedicated to the study and preservation of historical monuments of the region and the creation of new tourist routes. For the participants, field seminars and excursions to the monuments of Kunyaurgench (included in the UNESCO World Heritage List), Izmykshir and the medieval architectural complex of Ismamut-ata will be held.
They will also be shown the archaeological excavations at the Kerwensaraý monument. Moreover, artifacts have already been found there - terracotta carved tiles, the Deputy Prime Minister reported.
Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency Mammetkhan Chakiev reported that fixed and mobile telephone points have been installed in the northern region. The construction of a passenger bus station in Dashoguz is also ongoing (to be completed this year), the reconstruction of the airport hotel is being completed, residential buildings are being built for employees of Türkmendemirýollary, Türkmenhowaýollary and workers in the transport and communications industry, as well as a new administrative building for the provision of postal services and communications in etrap im. Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov reported on the cooperation of Turkmenistan with foreign partners on the Aral Sea problem. Thus, the National Program for the Aral Sea for 2021–2025 stipulates the construction of three multidisciplinary hospitals, seven water treatment facilities in the Dashoguz velayat, the design and launch of a gas turbine power plant with a capacity of 120 megawatts in Dashoguz.
TDH notes that out of 86 projects envisaged in this Program, 48 are being implemented jointly with UN agencies and other international structures.
