Since his inauguration on March 19, President Serdar Berdymukhammedov has not held a single meeting or adopted a single political decision, except for the dissolution of the government as provided for by the Constitution. However, he has already taken part in demonstration ceremonies twice - planting trees on March 20 and opening the second stage of the cottage complex of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov (Serdar's grandfather) on March 24.
Both events were held according to the same scenario as with the participation of ex-head of state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov .
On March 24, Berdimuhamedov Jr. opened houses for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Choganly residential area of the Bagtyyarlyk etrap of the capital, the state information agency TDH reports .
The president arrived at the ceremony site in a Mercedes-Benz S-class car with the number 01 22 AGA. Previously, the same number was installed on the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 city SUV, in which the president was brought to the subbotnik .
The first part of the cottage complex was opened in November 2020 by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Then the Secretary of the State Security Council, Charymyrat Amanov , said that local residents and employees of the internal affairs bodies came up with a proposal to name the area after Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, who worked for many years in the police. Parliament accepted the proposal.
Arriving at the opening site, Serdar Berdimuhamedov was shown a performance by horsemen on Akhal-Teke horses, a concert by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, alabai training and the museum named after Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov.
“On a separate stand there are photographs of Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with his parents from the family archive, pictures telling about the social activities of the grandfather of the head of state,” the TDH notes.
Then the President admired "the visibly strengthened mulberry tree, which Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov once carefully planted as a symbol of the continuity of generations."
As for the houses, each two-story cottage consists of five rooms. Berdimuhamedov Jr. was invited to one house. His owner is the driver of the Ashgabat Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yazmyrat Chuliyev .
During the inspection of the house, the president talked to the children, who read poems to him. After Berdimuhamedov Jr. presented gifts to each member of the family.
In conclusion, the head of state viewed an exhibition of vegetables, fruits, meat, fish and other food products produced by the military themselves in the subsidiary farms of military and law enforcement agencies in all regions of the country. TDH notes that these farms provide agricultural products to the personnel of departments.
