Serdar Berdimuhamedov was presented with a horse at the Independence Day parade

On September 27, Turkmenistan celebrated Independence Day.

 

Foreign businessmen and Russian officials, whom President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met on the 25th and 26th, arrived in Ashgabat for the celebrations on this occasion.

 

On the morning of September 27, the head of state laid flowers at the Independence Monument, followed by cabinet members and other officials, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations.

At 10 am, the head of state for the first time accepted a military parade on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, the state information agency TDH reports. His father, ex-president Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov , was not present at the celebrations. The plane on which he flew to Japan on September 25 for the funeral of Shinzo Abe, judging by the website Flight Radar, is still in Osaka.

At the same time, a sea parade was held in the water area of ​​the port in the Caspian Sea.

The air part of the parade was also shown, which was completed by the performance of the combined orchestra.

After that, a horse named Dovamat in jewelry was brought to the square, which was presented to the president “on behalf of his comrades-in-arms” (deputy prime ministers, – approx. KhT).

 

In a similar scenario , with a gift in the form of a horse, Independence Day celebrations were held during the reign of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In 2020, he was presented with a horse named Buysanchly, and in 2021, on the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence, an Akhal-Teke horse named Garashsyz (Independent). Then the president descended from the rostrum, where he received the parade, saddled his horse and, to the applause of the audience, made a circle of honor.

 

Then horsemen passed through the square and dance and musical numbers were shown.

 

The last columns were employees of the ministries and departments of the country.
