Serdar Berdymukhammedov participates in the groundbreaking ceremony for the “modern villages” in Akhal the President ordered to build

On 8 October 2018 the ground breaking ceremonies for the construction of modern villages, which were ordered to be built by President Gurbanbanguly Berdymukhammedov at the Cabinet session held on 24 October, were held.

The state information agency TDH reports that the Parliamentary delegation headed by Serdar Berdymukhammedov took part in the festivities as instructed by the Chairperson of the Mejlis (Parliament).

Parliament member Serdar Berdymukhammedov emphasized in his speech that the villages, which will be built, will allow to boost the economy of Akhal velayat and considerably improve the social services rendered to residents, � the news outlet reports.

The villages are scheduled to be built on the territories of Kopetdag and Ovadandepe gengeshliks (local administrations) in Geoktepe etrap. Moreover, the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the carpet weaving facility in Bakherden was held.

According to TDH, the administrative buildings of gengeshlik's offices, residential houses, schools, kindergarten, shopping centres, in-patient medical facilities, and squares for hosting the festivities and national ceremonies and car parks are expected to be built in each rural settlement.

The construction works are scheduled to be completed by September 2021.
