Baku: Several documents were signed at the 10th Meeting of Customs Service Heads of the Turkic States Organization (TSO) held in Baku. The meeting saw significant participation from various nations and international organizations.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Protocol of the 10th Meeting of OTS Customs Service Heads was among the documents signed. Additionally, the Technical Terms of Information Exchange between the Customs Administrations of the Member States of the Turkic States Organization were formalized. This agreement is part of the broader framework established by the Agreement on the Establishment of a Simplified Customs Corridor signed on November 11, 2022, in Samarkand.
Another key document signed was the Action Plan for implementing the e-BYD procedure. This procedure aligns with the 1975 Geneva BYD Convention and aims to facilitate smoother customs operations within the framework of the Turkic States Organization.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the customs services of Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Representatives from the UN, the International Road Transport Union, and the customs services of Georgia and Macedonia also participated, underscoring the international significance of the discussions.
