Significant magnitude 5.5 earthquake hits Japan

A 5.5 magnitude earthquake has been recorded on the shores of Japan, European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said, APA reports.

The earthquake's epicenter is located 37 kilometers northeast of the city of Nishinomote, where approximately 17,800 people reside.

The earthquake's epicenter is situated at a depth of 13 kilometers.

As of now, there is no information available regarding casualties or damages.

In addition, there is no tsunami warning issued.
