These trips are available exclusively to Azerbaijani citizens, no more than once a year and without overnight stays. Throughout the journey, the buses will be escorted by police officers to ensure the safety of travelers. Regular bus routes are operated to Shusha and Aghdam, which came under the control of Azerbaijan during the Second Karabakh War. Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rahman Gummetov stressed the priority of the safety of travelers during these trips. The fare ranges from 5 to 10.40 manats (approximately from 3 to 6 dollars). Some of these routes run several times a week. Special measures are provided for specific groups, since free trips will be provided to members of the families of martyrs, participants of the Second Karabakh War, national heroes and persons equated to them. Only those who have a passport confirming the presence of COVID are allowed to travel on these routes. Police officers accompany regular bus routes to promptly solve any potential problems during trips. In order to ensure safe movement, schemes of demined areas were prepared for travelers. Visitors are not allowed to stay overnight in Agdam and Shusha for security reasons. Citizens are allowed to spend only a few hours in these areas. However, in the future, the possibility of organizing tourist trips to Agdam and Shusha for foreigners is being considered.
