Istanbul: SOCAR has invested over $18.5 billion in Trkiye's economy over the past 17 years, as revealed by Elchin Ibadov, the CEO of SOCAR Trkiye, during a press conference in Istanbul.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, these substantial investments have positioned SOCAR Trkiye as the largest foreign investor in the country. Elchin Ibadov highlighted that SOCAR initiated its operations in Trkiye in 2008 by acquiring 51% of Petkim shares from the Privatization Administration of the Republic of Trkiye for $2 billion 40 million.
Elchin Ibadov reiterated SOCAR's role as the leading foreign investor, emphasizing the company's total investment of $18.5 billion in Trkiye over the past 17 years.
