Baku: In the first quarter of this year, the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) earned 2,183.5 million manats from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field block and the Shah Deniz gas-condensate field (from the sale of gas and condensate), which is 15.85% less than the same period last year.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, SOFAZ's quarterly report indicated that the fund received 2,001.6 million manats from the ACG field and 181.9 million manats from the Shah Deniz field during the reporting period. These figures represent an 18.7% decrease from the ACG field and a 36.3% increase from the Shah Deniz field compared to the same period in 2024.
In the first quarter of 2025, SOFAZ's total revenues from oil and gas agreements amounted to 3,017.2 million manats. This includes 2,251.9 million manats from the sale of profit oil and gas, and 765.3 million manats from bonus payments and transit revenues.
